Today's planetary update

Date: 9th May 2010

Time: 9:30am Aust. AEST / GMT +10hrs(note: this is Australian time, so if you are in another country check your time zones)

The Sun and Earth are now in the 6th Lines of Gates 1 and 2, brining an energy for being an archetypal role model and visionary, just watch it though, if you are too focused on the vision, you might just miss some important details about direction. Objectivity is in the air today, plus clarity of creative expression, leading to being able to make a clear assessment of individual creative value. And the intellect could be fixated on constant rationalisation, unable or unwilling to see the whole picture because during this transit higher knowing is extremely narrow in its receptivity. The notself will be creatively frustrated, destructive and stuck in the mundane.

The Moon is in Gate 22 ‘openness', bringing the focus onto grace and the quality of behaviour best suited in handling mundane situations. And individual emotional empowerment can come from the possibility to share unique spirit with others, which to be successful requires social skills. Then at 4:58pm she moves into conjunction with Jupiter in Gate 36 ‘crisis', bringing the focus onto the darkening of the light and the rule of cycles in which decline is a natural but not enduring stage. This is a strong emotionally experiential transit, with an underlying pressure to find an outlet to take action and share, and without clarity coming through reflection this can be destabilizing.

Venus moves at 3:40pm into Gate 45 ‘the gatherer', bringing an energy into play around values and worth in relation to communication, manifestation, metamorphosis, support and material success. The gathering together comes through the natural and generally beneficial attraction of like forces under the umbrella of a ‘tribal' style leader. The notself will be speaking at the wrong times, exhausting itself trying to manifest when it needs to wait.

At 4:03pm Mercury retrogrades into Gate 27 Line 1 'selfishness', bringing reviewed communication around the ego driven first law of caring for oneself, which doesn't necessarily have to be at the expense of others. This is a strong life force energy, bringing support for nurturing and care. This always reminds me of the old Zen proverb about drawing from the well to nourish yourself before you can give to others. The notself will be envious and selfish.

At 8:16pm Mars moves into the 4th Line of Gate 7 ‘the abdicator', bringing a maturing and mutating energy around direction and understanding, with the grace and wisdom to share by stepping down for the benefit of the whole. And the capacity of the self is to willingly accept the judgement of others or the rule of law. The notself will meet overwhelming opposition.

Jupiter moves at 9:19pm into the 4th Line of Gate 36 ‘espionage', bringing laws and rules into focus around the ability to prepare for and anticipate decline through accumulation of secret or privileged information. This is an experiential emotional energy that realises that knowledge both covert and esoteric is necessary if one is to be prepared for the sharing required during crisis and change. The notself will be the double agent, selling out to the highest bidder.
