Today's planetary update

Date: 9th July 2010

Time: 9:30am Aust. AEST / GMT +10hrs (note: this is Australian time, so if you are in another country check your time zones)

We start the day still moving through the 2nd Lines of Gates/hexagrams 53 and 54, then at 5:23pm they will move into the 3rd Lines bringing trial and error that can lead to discoveries and resilience. And ‘practicality' is a theme today, and this is about avoiding conflict to ensure protection and continued abstract development, fuelled by the pressure to eliminate conflict in order to develop and share. And ‘covert interaction' is in the air today, based on the ability where stymied in formal relationships to change direction and use secret or purely informal channels to gain support, but when it is the last resort. This could also be seen as the drive when blocked to use secret means to fuel ambition. The notself will unconsciously provoke conflict, pushing to overcome obstacles.

The Moon is moving through Gate 16 ‘skills', bringing movement and focus to ‘enthusiasm' and the great art of enriching life by the logical and harmonic channelling of energy. This is the archetype of the musical maestro who loves their art or craft enough to tirelessly experiment with its expression and the repetitive process of practicing, eventually leading to real understanding and mastery. At 1:52pm she will shift into Gate 35 ‘change' bringing the focus onto ‘progress' where by design, progress cannot exist in a vacuum and is dependent on interaction. And this is all about the abstract expression of new experiences, and once an experience has been sensed, tried, mastered and shared, it is time to find a new one. At 11:36pm she will shift into Gate 45 ‘the gatherer' bringing the focus onto ‘gathering together' and the natural and generally beneficial attraction of like forces. This can be seen as the archetype of the monarch or autocratic tribal leader, representing the voice of the community, and supporting and educating others in how to work together more efficiently.

Remember that I am describing conditioning themes brought by the planets, they are like the weather, passing through and you don't have to be influenced by them, you can use or ignore them to best advantage by following your Strategy and Inner Authority. Enjoy the ride! It's your life!
