Today's planetary update

Date: 6th July 2010

This is a rather long post, there is a lot of action in the transits today, with Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto all very busy, plus the regular Sun, Earth and Moon updates. So let's get into it!

The Sun and Earth are still in the 5th Lines of Gates/hexagrams 39 and 38, which you can read about in yesterday's blog, then at 6:36pm they will shift into the 6th Lines bringing an energy for being absorbed in the future, and tripping over what you've already got. And ‘the trouble shooter' is a theme today, with the natural gift for solving problems, based on knowing and having the fuel to provoke, guide and nurture others by attempting to use practicality to solve their problems. Plus ‘misunderstanding' is in the air as the result of opposition without basis, where eventual crystallisation will clear up any misunderstandings. This energy fuels the empowered stubbornness required to face the opposition that comes from attracting misunderstandings. The notself will be abusive and dominant, stubbornly blaming everyone else.

The Moon is moving through Gate 3 ‘ordering' bringing movement and focus to ‘difficulty at the beginning', this is a powerful generative energy where the fundamental challenge of empowered initiation is to transcend confusion and use knowing to establish order. And order can only come out of chaos when the process is respected, and the fact that it takes its own time is honoured. At 2:18pm she will shift into Gate 27 ‘caring' bringing the focus onto ‘nourishment' and the enhancement of the quality and substance of all activities through caring. This transit is all about support, preservation and protection of both the individual and community, and the first lesson to be learnt in this is to nourish yourself first, so you then have something of value to give.

Mercury is now in Gate 62 ‘detail', bringing communication in relation to ‘preponderance of the small' and how logical caution, patience and detail produce excellence out of limitation. This is where sharing and manifestation can only take place when the details have the necessary facts to back them up. So what is required is the assembling, organising and labelling of all of those details of life in order to see the formula and be able to express and share it.

Venus has shifted into Gate 29, meeting up with Saturn in Gate 46 Defining the Sacral and ‘G' Centres with the Channel of Discovery, a ‘design of succeeding where others fail'. This is a generative energy for reflecting on and sharing abstract love, direction and identity. And this transit is also about values, worth and constraint in relation to what you commit to. The key here is once you are clear on making a commitment, you have to totally abandon yourself to it, releasing all expectations around results, just simply enjoying the journey of discovery.

Uranus is moving into retrograde motion in the 3rd Line of Gate 25 ‘sensibility' bringing the opportunity to review any sidetracks around the power of the ego and the spirit to withstand shock and failure and to still maintain it's identity or nature. And this is based in the unique recognition that innocent action does not in itself guarantee success. The notself could lose its spirit through shock and failure.

At 11:02pm Jupiter moves into the 6th Line of Gate 25 ‘ignorance' bringing laws and rules in relation to empowered, unique, individuated love, direction and identity. Here inappropriate action is censured, as false innocence can be betrayed by actions, and genuine innocence lost through inappropriate action. The notself will take counterproductive action, stripping away innocence and damaging the spirit.

At 10:53pm Pluto retrogrades into Gate 10 ‘the behaviour of the self' bringing the opportunity to review our truth in relation to ‘treading', which is all about the underlying code of behaviour which ensures empowered and successful interaction despite circumstances. When you know how to behave from your own truth you can move through life without treading on the tiger's tail. And when you love yourself enough, you can be a shining example of your own uniqueness.

All of the Gates defined today are in either individual or abstract circuitry, so there will be a lot of pressure to review past experiences or start new ones, looking for knowing and empowerment to share individual experiences with the collective.
