Today's planetary update

Date: 6th August 2010

We are back at a 1st Line theme today as the Sun and Earth have now shifted into Gates 7 and 13 and it's a day to dig into things, investigate and research to find a secure foundation for the future. For the next 6 days there will be a lot of energy around love, identity and the recognition of direction with ‘the role of the self' and ‘the army' both in play. This is about a logical point of convergence, that by design brings understanding of the need for leadership to guide and order society. ‘The listener', and ‘the fellowship of man' are also themes, where sensing universal ideas and values and how they fit in an ordered framework is something which inspires human co-operation and sharing.

And the ‘authoritarian' is in the air today, this is the logical iron hand, which can be both enlightened and despotic. Here we have the capacity of the self to guide with understanding and authority, and this is an authority based sharing the basic rules and values imposed on a child. Plus ‘empathy' is grounding us with the abstract ability to relate and commune with everyone with a sense of equanimity. This also brings shared harmony through affection, based in a role of openness in listening to others with affection. The notself will believe only it knows best and be filled with motives, like a politician kissing babies.

The Moon is Gate 45 ‘the gatherer' bringing movement and focus to ‘gathering together' seen as the natural and generally beneficial attraction of like forces within the community. This is the archetype of the king or queen, the autocratic leader, benevolently ruling the community, through supporting those that they are responsible for. At 7:11pm she will shift into Gate 12 ‘caution' bringing the focus onto individual ‘standstill' which empowers through the quality of restraint and the importance of meditation and inaction in confronting temptation. This is the power of not doing, and aloneness is also a theme depending on the mood or spirit.

There is a lot of pressure to lead today, and jumping into the wrong leadership can be disastrous, so wait to see what leadership opportunities show up, and see if your inner authority is actually interested.

Observe the dance of the planets through the cosmos, feel how the energies shift and move, and don't identify with them, it's like the weather passing through, and your Strategy and Inner Authority is your umbrella in the storms of life.
