Today's planetary update

Date: 26th July 2010

Time: 9:30am Aust. AEST / GMT +10hrs (note: this is Australian time, so if you are in another country check your time zones)

At 10:12am the Sun and Earth move into the 2nd Lines of Gates/hexagrams 31 and 41 bringing an energy of being shy and absorbed in your natural talent until you are called on to show your talent with boldness. And ‘arrogance' is in the air today, and this is about taking logical and independent action without guidance, being the leader whose actions are based in dedication to the expression and sharing of higher principles that cannot wait for group consensus. Plus ‘caution' is grounding us today, and this is where humanism is sensed and tempered by pragmatism, based in a conservative nature that does not risk its own security in aiding others. And there is a drive or energy to share ones own feelings but not for others. The notself will behave arrogantly out of nervous tension, throw caution to the wind and depleting valuable resources.

At 9:38am the Moon moves into conjunction with the Earth in Gate 41 which is still Defining the Root and Sacral Centres (details in yesterday's blog). This brings movement and focus to ‘contraction' and ‘decrease', where the logical limitation of resources maximises the development of potential to share. This is the archetype of the gardener who has the sense to severely prune back the rose bush, and is rewarded with a bounty of blooms. The Moon reaches her zenith at 11:38am. Then at 8:53pm the Moon will shift into Gate 19 ‘wanting' bringing the focus onto ‘approach' where the fact that all things are interrelated is apparent and manifested through the action of approach. This is the fuel of sensitivity and our social needs, as well as being a drive to make sure there is a supportive community available, and to inturn be supported by the community.

Venus has now shifted into Gate 47 ‘realising' bringing values and worth in relation to ‘oppression' as a restrictive and adverse state as a result of internal weakness or external strength or both. This is an abstract mental pressure, looking to find sense and realisation out of inspiration which may not be a comfortable process, but once the realising has been done and facts found to substantiate it, the rewards are worth it.
