Today's planetary update

We begin our day with the Sun and Earth in the 5th Lines of Gates/hexagrams 25 and 46, bringing an energy of projection, this is a transit where jumping in to be the saviour for the wrong reasons could well see you burn at the stake for your trouble. There is healing and recuperation in the air, which comes through the ability to recognise the inner meaning of an affliction and to withdraw until it is healed. This is when innocence has been sapped of its vitality, healing is the first priority, and through this the power of the spirit can be healed and in turn heal. Pacing is also an important theme today, where the maintenance of a proper rhythm instinctively and practically avoids diverging from patterns that have proved successful. There is determination available to stick with the rhythm that you know brings success. The notself will indulge in hypochondria, weakness of spirit and whinging, it will also irrationally reject the very rhythm that brings success.

The Moon is in Gate 12 ‘caution', bringing the energy where the quality of restraint is appreciated and allowing for the importance of meditation and inaction in confronting temptation is wise. There will be moods of all flavours in the air, which can lead to grace or disgrace, and people will only hear what they feel in the mood to hear. Then at 2:12pm she moves into Gate 15 ‘extremes', bringing the energy where it's all about the quality of behaviour which can express the proper balance between two extremes. This is a transit where rhythms will be adapted and changed, looking for diversity and fluidity. This is also the Gate of the ‘Love of Humanity', bringing the ability to accept without judgement the rhythms of others.

Mars has moved into the 6th line of Gate 56, bringing a maturing energy, that uses caution and prudence once connection has been achieved, to honour its new commitments in order to create a secure footing, this is all about honesty of expression and living by one's word. The notself will wander and yearn, behaving in unconscious ways that lead to rejection.

Jupiter has moved into the 5th Line of Gate 63, bringing us the energy of rules around having the authority and sincerity of purpose to pursue the same values in the new beginning that allowed transcendence of the old, affirming continuity. This transit also brings the understanding that doubts are necessary and of value to the process of discovering what is of real value. The notself will pay lip service to the very values that brought success.

Remember that I am describing conditioning themes brought by the planets, they are like the weather, passing through and you don't have to be influenced by them, you can use or ignore them to best advantage by following your Strategy and Inner Authority. Enjoy the ride! It's your life!
