Today's planetary update

Welcome to my daily transit update, firstly, if you are not really familiar with the Human Design System some of this may seem a little cryptic to you, remember it is based on keynotes from the I Ching, and can be like a zen koan, so sit and muse on it, and let it unravel and reveal itself to you through your own unique relationship to it. Remember that I am describing conditioning themes brought by the planets, they are like the weather, passing through and you don’t have to be influenced by them, you can use or ignore them to best advantage by following your Strategy and Inner Authority. Enjoy the ride! It’s your life! Stick to your Strategy and Inner Authority, it is your guiding light to your true north, don’t get distracted by the bright shiny lights that conditioning brings.

The day begins on the tail end of the yearly cycle with the Sun and Earth in the 6^th Line of Gates/hexagrams 60 and 56, and then at 8:31pm (9:31am gmt) they will shift into the 1^st Lines of Gates 41 and 31, kicking off the new year cycle with a need to investigate and ensure that there is a reliable and secure foundation to move ahead from. And for the next 6 days the Sun is shining in ‘contraction’ and ‘decrease’, with the limitation of resources which maximises development of potential. And the earth is grounding us in ‘leading’ and ‘influence’, with the law of friction, whether active or passive, that engenders transference and thus influence.

And we begin the new cycle with ‘reasonableness’ in the air, and this is the fuel for the abstract recognition and appropriate delegation of responsibility, based in using sensing and the imagination to make the very best out of very little. Here there is a certain experiential coolness, where the energy to release feelings is selective. Plus ‘manifestation’ is grounding us today, and this is about the recognition that influence cannot exist in a vacuum, which is based in the logical understanding that just as the Sun does not or cannot hold back from expressing its light so always shares it’s influence in everyday life. This is the most logical and natural expression of leadership for the future. The notself will have an urge to release feelings and be the hothead, being an unnatural expression of leadership.

The Sun is also in conjunction with Mars until the 24/25^th and meets up with Neptune in Gate 30 Defining the Root and Solar Plexus Centres with the Channel of recognition, a ‘design of focused energy’ and this is a powerful emotional drive, bringing movement and focus to abstract dreams and fantasies, and the main lessons here are to not try and make sense of the dreams or to try and make them come true. Also don’t expect emotional desires to bring lasting peace, as true peace is to simply enjoy the dreams themselves. And there is an endless yearning to feel in order to learn as this is where wisdom is gained through exploring all kinds of feelings, and often the way to stir feelings is through sharing dreams and wishes. There can also be a restless or nervousness as a result of this direct connection of a physical pressure Centre to the emotional Centre, and the biggest lesson can be patience and composure.

The Moon is still moving through Gate 29 and at 10:23am 22^nd (23:23gmt 21^st) she shifts into Gate 59 ‘sexuality’ bringing movement and focus to ‘dispersion’, and this is the generative life force that supports the ability to break down barriers to achieve union. Here is also the fuel for expressed sexuality and/or creativity, and being able to break down barriers through response, so as to bring something new to the community. There is also a desire for intimacy which can manifest as anything from shyness, brotherhood/sisterhood, the femme fatale/Casanova, to the one night stand and a few others in between. Waiting is always the key here, jumping into bonds prematurely will only lead to surface intimacy which is never going to be satisfying.

At 7:30pm (8.30am gmt) the Moon shifts into Gate 40 ‘aloneness’ bringing movement and focus to ‘deliverance’ which can be recognised as support for the point of transition between struggle and liberation. This transit highlights willpower and brings social caution and a real liking for being alone, and this can show up as being happily alone, even in a crowded room. The actress Greta Garbo might have had this Gate, famously saying “I just want to be alone”. Having a good balance of work and rest is also important for this Gate as it brings the ability to work hard for the right reasons, and then needs to rest well to be ready for what comes next. Healthy boundaries are also required here so as not to over extend when it comes to supporting the tribe and community.

At 4:37am 23^rd (17:37gmt 22^nd) the Moon shifts into Gate 64 ‘confusion’ bringing movement and focus to 'before completion', and this is about the recognition that transition, like giving birth, requires a determined strength for the passage through. This transit brings an abstract mental pressure to sense and resolve inspiration and find awareness out of experience. In this context confusion is not a negative thing, it simply means that the mind is busy, busy, busy with a great deal of data, most of which is superfluous. And this data requires filtering to relieve the pressure and find the gems of clarity to be shared. This is also about fully experiencing the present in order to reflect upon it, when it is past.
