Today's planetary update

Welcome to my daily transit update, firstly, if you are not really familiar with the Human Design System some of this may seem a little cryptic to you, remember it is based on keynotes from the I Ching, and can be like a zen koan, so sit and muse on it, and let it unravel and reveal itself to you through your own unique relationship to it. Remember that I am describing conditioning themes brought by the planets, they are like the weather, passing through and you don’t have to be influenced by them, you can use or ignore them to best advantage by following your Strategy and Inner Authority. Enjoy the ride! It’s your life! Stick to your Strategy and Inner Authority, it is your guiding light to your true north, don’t get distracted by the bright shiny lights that conditioning brings.

Today is that time when the day and night are equal in time, it's Solstice and it will occur at 4:30pm (5:30am gmt). It is also known as the winter solstice in the northern hemisphere and the summer solstice in the southern hemisphere due to the seasonal differences.

The day starts out with the Sun and Earth still moving through the 2nd Lines of Gates/hexagrams 10 and 15 and then at 7:28pm (8:28am gmt) they will move into the 3rd Lines bringing a theme of materially beneficial discoveries coming through a process of trial and error. And ‘the martyr’ is in the air today, and this is about the futile rejection of recognised standards based on a unique, individual and just awareness. All of which is based in the self empowered truth seeking martyr, as an enduring example, whose centred behaviour in relation to love, direction and identity is ultimately enshrined, in the now. Plus ‘ego inflation’ is grounding us, and here we get to see the logical risk that modesty once understood and recognised will self destruct, as this is where otherwise negative and contrived modesty is reinforced by recognition and maintained as an effective strategy, based in the extremism of the self as a strategy to share and control the creative generative flow. The notself will pursue martyrdom for personal aggrandisement, trying to use harmony as a weapon in problem situations instead of dealing with the root cause.

The Moon is still moving through Gate 43 and at 2:01pm (3:01am gmt) she shifts into Gate 14 ‘power skills’ bringing movement and focus onto ‘possession in great measure’, and here we see the creative generation, accumulation and retention of individual power through skilled interaction, coupling unique grace with control. This is an extremely fertile life force energy, bringing the power and energy for finding individual empowered direction, and the quality of the generative fuel determines the quality of direction. Here we get to see the generative fuel that powers the Tantra of empowering the Self, and the main drive here is to find direction, as real creative potential lies in loving the work that you do. This Gate also brings the skills and commitment to drive new projects and creative endeavours out into the world, and yes this involves work, but it is a labour of love, and wealth can arise from sustained creative work.

At 11:16pm (12:16gmt) the Moon shifts into Gate 34  ‘power', bringing movement and focus to ‘the power of the great', where unique individuated power is only great when its display or use is serves the common good. This is pure centred unconditional creative generative power, ready for display and available for use through response. Also this is life force energy for the knowing power to be independent and the energy of individual conviction. This is also the essential fuel for individuation, and determines whether or not individuation can be maintained, looking for ways that awareness can become deeds.

At 8:32am 23rd (21:32gmt 22nd) the Moon shifts into conjunction with Mercury in Gate 9  ‘focus’ bringing movement and focus to ‘the taming power of the small’ and this is where logical potential can be fulfilled and shared through understanding and detailed attention to all the pertinent aspects. This brings a fuel for determination, and the creative generative power to maintain focus, especially on those details that can carry us into the future. This Gate brings an ability for prolonged focus and detailed work, as long as the discipline of sitting still can be maintained. 'God is in the detail' could be this Gate's mantra, and it must be the right detail that has come to you through your Strategy and Inner Authority.

At 8:23pm (9:23am gmt) Venus shifts into Gate 41 meeting up with Neptune in Gate 30 Defining the Root and Solar Plexus Centres with the Channel of recognition, a ‘design of focused energy’ and this is a veiled yet powerful emotional drive, bringing values and worth to abstract dreams and fantasies, and the main lessons here are to not try and make sense of the dreams or to try and make them come true. Also don’t expect emotional desires to bring lasting peace, as true peace is to simply enjoy the dreams themselves. And there is an endless yearning to feel in order to learn as this is where wisdom is gained through exploring all kinds of feelings, and often the way to stir feelings is through sharing dreams and wishes. There can also be a restless or nervousness as a result of this direct connection of a physical pressure Centre to the emotional Centre, and the biggest lesson can be patience and composure.
