Today's planetary update

Date: 22nd April 2010

Time: 9:30am Aust. AEST / GMT +10hrs(note: this is Australian time, so if you are in another country check your time zones)

The day begins here in Sydney with the Sun and Earth still in the 6th Lines of Gates/hexagrams 3 and 50 which I wrote about in yesterday's blog. At 3:41pm they will move into the Incarnation Cross of the Unexpected and the 1st Lines of Gates 27 and 28, bringing the energy of nurturing and caring into play, leading to the enhancement of the quality and the substance of all activities through caring. Plus there is a strong theme around the transitoriness of power and influence, and the unexpected could suddenly show up today, where you least expect it of course! This can look a lot like chaos, where the results can never be predicted, and if you are someone fond of control the uncertainty of this can be a hard thing to deal with. The key is to relax, the right chaos gets us in touch with what we care deeply about, what is really important to us and what is not, and this shows us what is truly worth nurturing and caring for.

Now, this is also a good time to be digging into some research and foundation building, getting established, ready for what is coming next. And selfishness is in the air, where through the ego driven first law of caring for oneself, the result is having the energy to nurture and care for those others who need support. As through having the power to care for oneself first, there is then more to be shared. Also there is an intuitive potential that gets fired up with the desire to be effective, and this manifests as preparation and the application of energy to detail. The notself will be envious and lack potential.

Also the Earth in Gate 28 is meeting up with the North Node in Gate 38 Defining the Root and Spleen Centres with the Channel of Struggle, a ‘Design of Stubbornness', bringing into play a pressure to be spontaneous. The theme song for this transit could be ‘I did it my way', and don't let the words struggle and stubborn turn you off, this energy is all about standing up for uniqueness and finding true purpose through that. To stubbornly stand up for uniqueness and purpose can be a struggle some days, and when it is done for all the right reasons it is blessing, not a curse.

The moon is in Gate 31 'influence', bringing into focus the law of friction, whether passive or active, that engenders transference and thus influence. There will be verbal claims made around leadership, and most will be just talk, creating some friction and movement, yet lacking the energy to back them up. At 2:43pm she moves into conjunction with Mars in Gate 33 ‘retreat', bringing the focus onto having regular time alone in order to reflect on the past. This is all about deeply experiencing life and then withdrawing into privacy to process the experiences, and when the time is right being ready to share what has been learned. Then at 12:15am on the 23rd she moves into Gate 7 'The Role Of The Self', bring the focus of energy to the point of convergence, where by design, there is a need for leadership to guide and order society. This is all about logical direction in life, and through the right interactions this can become leadership. The only thing that really matters in this transit is that there is certainty available through tried and tested patterns.
