Welcome to my daily transit update, firstly, if you are not really familiar with the Human Design System some of this may seem a little cryptic to you, remember it is based on keynotes from the I Ching, and can be like a zen koan, so sit and muse on it, and let it unravel and reveal itself to you through your own unique relationship to it. Remember that I am describing conditioning themes brought by the planets, they are like the weather, passing through and you don’t have to be influenced by them, you can use or ignore them to best advantage by following your Strategy and Inner Authority. Enjoy the ride! It’s your life! Stick to your Strategy and Inner Authority, it is your guiding light to your true north, don’t get distracted by the bright shiny lights that conditioning brings.

We begin the day on the very last part of the Human Design Solar year, and at 2:19am 23rd (15:19gmt 22nd) the Sun and Earth begin the New year by shifting into the 1st Lines of Gates/hexagrams 41 and 31 kicking off the new year cycle with a need to investigate and ensure that there is a reliable and secure foundation to move ahead from. And for the next 6 days the Sun is shining in ‘contraction’ and ‘decrease’, with the limitation of resources which maximises development of potential. And the earth is grounding us in ‘leading’ and ‘influence’, with the law of friction, whether active or passive, that engenders transference and thus influence.

And we begin the new cycle with ‘reasonableness’ in the air, and this is the pressure energy for the abstract recognition and appropriate delegation of shared responsibility. All of which is based in using sensing and the imagination to make the very best out of very little. Here there is a certain experiential coolness, where the energy to release feelings is fuelled by selectivity. Plus ‘manifestation’ is grounding us today, and this is about the recognition that transformational influence cannot exist in a vacuum. And this is based in the logical understanding we gain through observing how the Sun does not or cannot hold back from expressing its light, it is always sharing it’s influence in everyday life. This is the most logical and natural expression of leadership and metamorphosis for the future. The notself will have an urge to release feelings and be the hothead, being an unnatural expression of leadership.

The Sun is also meets up with Neptune in Gate 30 Defining the Root and Solar Plexus Centres with the Channel of recognition, a ‘design of focused energy’ and this is a powerful emotional drive, bringing movement and focus to abstract dreams and fantasies, and the main lessons here are to not try and make sense of the dreams or to try and make them come true. Also don’t expect emotional desires to bring lasting peace, as true peace is to simply enjoy the dreams themselves. And there is an endless yearning to feel in order to learn as this is where wisdom is gained through exploring all kinds of feelings, and often the way to stir feelings is through sharing dreams and wishes. There can also be a restless or nervousness as a result of this direct connection of a physical pressure Centre to the emotional Centre, and the biggest lesson can be patience and composure.

The Moon is still moving through Gate 54 and at 9:38pm 22nd (10:38am gmt 22nd) she will shift into conjunction with Mercury in Gate 61  ‘mystery’ bringing communication, movement and focus to ‘inner truth’ and the empowered unique awareness of recognising universal underlying principles. This is a mental pressure to resolve individual mystery and find inspiration, and this can fuel and empower unique knowing, or it can lead to delusion and madness. The pressure of both the unknown and knowable haunts the thinker's mind, wanting to really know the absolute. And this pressure can last a life time, and the key is to remember that the ultimate potential of recognising inner truth comes with silence.

At 7:30am 23rd (20:30gmt 22nd) the Moon shifts into Gate 60 meeting up with Jupiter in Gate 3 Defining the Root and Sacral Centres with the Channel of mutation, a ‘design of energy which initiates and fluctuates in a pulse. And this brings movement, focus, rules and laws to the responsive fuel for the creative generative pressure to bring something new into the world. The price for this unique gift is to accept never knowing when the next quantum leap will come. All of which is based in bringing empowered unique individual radical change into the world, in the now.

And now for an overview of the New Years energy imprint, taken from the planetary line up as the Sun shifts into Gate 41 at 2:19am 23rd (15:19gmt 22nd)

It is important to note that the main life force driving the yearly cycle comes through the Sun and Neptune meeting up and Definiting of the Root and Solar Plexus Centres with the Channel of recognition, a ‘design of focused energy’ and this is a veiled yet powerful emotional drive, bringing values and worth to abstract dreams and fantasies, and the main lessons here are to not try and make sense of the dreams or to try and make them come true. And joining up with this life force defintion are Pluto in Gate 58 - Line 5, Mars in Gate 6 - Line 1 and Venus in Gate 37 - Line 5, and these planets will colour this life force with the truth in relation to 'the joyous' and ‘focusing’, and here we recognise a natural specialisation that when confronted with a multiplicity of stimulations will have no difficulty in logically focussing on the appropriate tasteful influence. All of which is based in the energy to fuel understanding and recognition of which pressure and stimulation is of future value. There will be maturation and mutation in 'conflict' and ‘retreat’, which is about the realisation that wasting valuable resources by trying to defend against overwhelming odds is not courage but folly. This is where we get to see the power of regeneration that can support and embrace retreat as a phase and not a failure, based in the potential emotional awareness and stability to accept conflict within the community. And values and worth around 'the family' and ‘love’ are in play, yes it’s a time to feel the love, and this all about recognising the natural and unaffected devotion to the family based in natural harmony, that supports perfected sharing and potential emotional awareness. This is a transit where support can show up in life through the recognition of the natural harmony and sharing that is possible through friendship within the community. The notself will become unstable when overstimulated, be plagued with instability and inferiority complexes, turning love into hate.

The nodal environment has the North Node in Gate 35 and the South node in Gate 5, both in the 3rd Line and 1st colour, setting up an environmental view or the stage for movie of the year to play out on with some trial and error bring resilience in relation to survival or the notself will be too busy with wants and needs, which will result in pessimism. And ‘compulsiveness’ is in the view, and here we get to see the fear engendered by the sense of helplessness that in turn fuels unnecessary stress and activity. This is where we will see a natural compulsiveness that can be understood and limited in its negative effects through allowing for flights of the imagination, that although there is still stress in play, it does not lead to any action. All of which is based in surrendering to the logical limitations of a fixed responsive rhythm through the empowerment of future sharing of the life force and imagination.  Plus ‘collaboration’ is grounding us, and here we see an environemtal view where the whole is greater than the sum of its abstract parts, which is based in the benefic encouragement of others that expands and transforms personal expression of past reflection, as well as communal experiential progress, and can be sensed as the metamorphic ability to bring progressive experiential change into others lives. The notself view will see those at odds with their own rhythm, needing to be the centre of attention and ignoring the importance of others, and the general notself will identify and be this instead of sitting back and watching the view.

And then in the back ground of this picture of the year is

The Moon in Gate 61 - Line 3 bringing movement and focus to 'inner truth' and ‘interdependence’, and here we recognise that it is exceedingly difficult for unique individual truth to stand alone. All of which is based in the ability to knowingly establish relationships for the actualisation of inspirational truths, and through their nurturing and protective power to ensure a stable environment in which they can continue to grow. This is the mental pressure to know that is enhanced and empowered through collaboration in the now. The notself will be impatiently forsaking relationships through an abundance of energy.

Mercury in Gate 61 - Line 2 bringing communication to 'inner truth' and ‘natural brilliance’ is grounding us, and here we recognise a unique individuality that is so knowingly gifted, it has a far reaching nourishing influence, which is free of individual guile and powerfully attractive. All of which is based in the gift for mental inspiration that is attractive, empowering and beneficial to others in the now. The notself will be egotistically deluded that any inspiration deserves recognition.

Jupiter in Gate 3 - Line 6 bringing laws and protection to ‘recognition of feelings’ and ‘the clinging fire’ where freedom is recognised as an illusion and limitation accepted as fate. This is bringing the veils of illusion to ‘enforcement’, which this is about recognising the discipline to maintain right action, based in the abstract assertiveness to purge the inferior while having the sense to accept leading the weak. There is also the experiential strength to eliminate negative feelings. The notself will abide the presence of inferior forces, for the sake of peace, lacking the strength to eliminate negative feelings.

Saturn in Gate 50 - Line - 4 bringing judgement and learning to 'values and ‘corruption’, and here we gain an instinctive awareness about how a lack of enriching values can play out in life. All of which is based in the unusual and malefic gift of being able to turn inferior values into material support and success, the gift being that these actions are limited to selfishness and unsavouriness rather than criminality. This is also about having the knowing and capacity to defend and maintain one's creative generative strength despite inferior values within the community. The notself will be the worst that can be expected, corrupted, confused

Uranus in Gate 25 Line - 4 bring a disruptive sidetracking influence to 'innocence' and 'impact', as we recognise the unique ability, where once the individual love, direction and identity is recognised, to move rapidly from a position of obscurity into one of self empowered influence. This is what appears to others as ‘good luck', but actually comes from being centred and deeply determined, knowing that eventually through living your Design and being in the right place at the right time, recognition and opportunity will arrive in the now.
