Today's planetary update

Welcome to my daily transit update, firstly, if you are not really familiar with the Human Design System some of this may seem a little cryptic to you, remember it is based on keynotes from the I Ching, and can be like a zen koan, so sit and muse on it, and let it unravel and reveal itself to you through your own unique relationship to it. Remember that I am describing conditioning themes brought by the planets, they are like the weather, passing through and you don’t have to be influenced by them, you can use or ignore them to best advantage by following your Strategy and Inner Authority. Enjoy the ride! It’s your life! Stick to your Strategy and Inner Authority, it is your guiding light to your true north, don’t get distracted by the bright shiny lights that conditioning brings.

We begin the day with the Sun and Earth moving through the tail end of Gates/hexagrams 6 and 36, and then at 00:10am 22^nd (14:10gmt 21^st) they will shift into the 1^st Lines of Gates 46 and 25 bringing a theme for introspection, investigation and research to create a secure foundation. For the next 6 days the Sun is shining in ‘the determination of the self’ and ‘pushing upward’, bringing into play good fortune that may be perceived as the result of serendipity, but derives from both effort and dedication. And the Earth is grounding us in ‘the spirit of the self’ and ‘innocence’, and here we get to see the perfection of action through an uncontrived and spontaneous nature.

And ‘being discovered’ is in the air today, which is about having the experiential dedication, love and direction in obscurity that in turn leads to being unexpectedly discovered. Here we can see the sense of pure art for art’s sake, where any creative endeavour that is self fulfilling sooner or later, through reflection on the past, will be recognised and shared. All of which happens through the abstract potential for creative success that comes through dedication. Plus ‘selflessness’ is grounding us, and here we get to see unique individuated motiveless action, based in the knowing and universalisation of activity in relation to love, direction and identity. This is where psychic attunement is self empowered and its own reward, leading to the potential for centring through attunement to challenges in the now. The notself will be determined to benefit from the success of others, insecure in times of challenge.

The Moon is still shifting through Gate 15 and at 12:15pm (2:15am gmt) she will shift into Gate 52 ‘inaction’ bringing movement and focus onto ‘keeping still mountain’ where logical, temporary and self imposed inaction is vital to allow for the benefits that assessment and understanding bring. And this is the stillness of deep focused concentration that can be used to channel energy into what is logical. Also this need for stillness can at times be anti social, as concentration benefits from withdrawal, and as this is the fuel for how passive energy functions, lack of focus can lead to restlessness and tension.

At 10:48pm (12:48gmt) the Moon shifts into Gate 39 ‘the provocateur’ bringing movement and focus to ‘obstruction’, and here we get to recognise the unique value of obstruction in provoking individual analysis, assessment and re-evaluation. This is a combative fuel that is looking for knowing, potential emotional awareness and spirit, and this form of provocation is purely about finding the right spirit, and being empowered to provoke it into expression or not. This is also a fuel to persevere, and deal with the moods that provocation releases. And provocation can come in many forms, even doing nothing can provoke someone who does not have the right spirit, and depending on the mood either pain or pleasure can be provoked, even flirting can be a provocation.

At 7:24am 22^nd (21:24gmt 21^st) Mercury shifts into Gate 6 ‘friction’ bringing communication into play in relation to ‘conflict’, as the fundamental design component of progress, and this is based in the law of nature that new growth cannot exist without some sort of friction to stimulate it. This is a very complex energy as it has an enormous awareness potential, bringing out feeling, emoting and sensitivity, which are all part of our evolved genetic defence reflex. This is a powerful emotional possibility and is also about supportive boundaries, focusing on who is in and who is out, and developing awareness of the timing of dropping barriers to support intimacy. Also this transit clearly shows that it is only through authentic awareness that the true nature of intimacy can be transformed.
