Today's planetary update

Welcome to my daily transit update, firstly, if you are not really familiar with the Human Design System some of this may seem a little cryptic to you, remember it is based on keynotes from the I Ching, and can be like a zen koan, so sit and muse on it, and let it unravel and reveal itself to you through your own unique relationship to it. The Sun and Earth are still in the 1^st Line theme until 6:45am on the 21^st (19:45 GMT on the 20^th) when they will shift into the 2^nd Lines of Gates/hexagrams 50 and 3 bringing a theme for being shyly involved in your own talent until the right call comes to share it boldly. And ‘determination’ is in the air today, and this is about the instinctive strength of purpose that results in being able to enjoy overcoming adversity in order to achieve goals. Here we get to see the support and strength derived from defending and maintaining one's values and knowing in the face of opposition or conditioning. Plus ‘immaturity’ is grounding us, and this is about the unrestrained acceptance of unique guidance and knowing, based in having an unrelenting energy and fuel for individual growth that will eventually triumph. Here we get to see the empowered creative and generative energy that drives the potential for individual mutation, evolution and growth. The notself will have a lack of strength to deal with adversity, and taking on conditioning from others will lead to instability.

The Moon is still in Gate 22 and at 11:37am (00:37am GMT) she will shift into conjunction with Uranus and Jupiter in Gate 36 ‘crisis’ bringing movement and focus to ‘the darkening of the light’ with the potential emotional awareness to see the sense of the rule of cycles in which decline is a natural but not enduring stage. This brings an abstract potential of recognition through reflection on feelings that leads to the possibility of change, and looking for ways for conceptualisation to manifest directly as action. This can be a destabilising energy for the unaware, and this is where the crisis can arise from. Change and changes in feeling are natural for the abstract experiential process, and the ultimate role is to be the witness who remembers and reflects, as the shift of feelings determines the ending of a cycle, nothing more, and the recognition of this can only come through awareness. If the energy overwhelms this possibility, the change then becomes either something that is dreaded or embraced, both of which fuels expectations and inevitable crisis.

At 10:54pm (11:54am GMT) the Moon shifts into Gate 25 ‘the spirit of the self’ bringing movement and focus to ‘innocence’, and the individual perfection of unique action through an uncontrived and spontaneous nature. This is where being centred in the now depends on the quality of innocence, and innocence is tested and empowered in the fire of competitive energy. And despite outward appearances the true competition here is whether the self can maintain its unique innocence despite circumstances. This is also the Gate of the shaman/priestess or spiritual warrior who loves all of existence without discrimination, this is where a flower can be loved as profoundly as a human, and this quality of love can be projected as cool or cold, and it is neither. The true mystical potential of this love is both transcendent and universal, and is based in the knowing that the spirit is always being tested. This is also the Gate of scars, which brings the potential of being wounded, exemplified by the warrior fool who leaps empty handed into the void, with only its innocence to carry it, with the hope that it will land on its feet. And yes the spirit can be broken, but triumph and survival enrich the spirit and result in the wonder of being.

 At 00:25am on the 21^st (13:25 GMT on the 20^th) Mars shifts into Gate 14 ‘power skills’ bringing maturation and mutation in relation to ‘possession in great measure’, and here we see the creative generation, accumulation and retention of individual power through skilled interaction, coupling unique grace with control. This is an extremely fertile life force energy, bringing the power and energy for finding individual empowered direction, and the quality of the generative fuel determines the quality of direction. Here we get to see the generative fuel that powers the Tantra of empowering the Self, and the main drive here is to find direction, as real creative potential lies in loving the work that you do. This Gate also brings the skills and commitment to drive new projects and creative endeavours out into the world, and yes this involves work, but it is a labour of love, and wealth can arise from sustained creative work.

Remember that I am describing conditioning themes brought by the planets, they are like the weather, passing through and you don’t have to be influenced by them, you can use or ignore them to best advantage by following your Strategy and Inner Authority. Enjoy the ride! It’s your life! Stick to your Strategy and Inner Authority, it is your guiding light to your true north, don’t get distracted by the bright shiny lights that conditioning brings.
