Today's planetary update

Welcome to my daily transit update, firstly, if you are not really familiar with the Human Design System some of this may seem a little cryptic to you, remember it is based on keynotes from the I Ching, and can be like a zen koan, so sit and muse on it, and let it unravel and reveal itself to you through your own unique relationship to it. Remember that I am describing conditioning themes brought by the planets, they are like the weather, passing through and you don’t have to be influenced by them, you can use or ignore them to best advantage by following your Strategy and Inner Authority. Enjoy the ride! It’s your life! Stick to your Strategy and Inner Authority, it is your guiding light to your true north, don’t get distracted by the bright shiny lights that conditioning brings.

We begin the day with the Sun and Earth in the early stages of the 5^th Lines of Gates/hexagrams 4 and 49 and then at 4:48am 17^th (18:48gmt 16^th) they will move into the 6^th Lines bringing a theme for taking time out and resting and recuperating, absorbed in visions of what is next, getting ready for the next phase, just don’t dismiss what you already have at your feet. And ‘excess’ is in the air today, and here we recognise the repeated and conscious abuse of logical norms that will not escape discipline. This is the possibility of developing logical mental awareness through the understanding and experience of concepts and techniques that teach when it is a good idea to apply some self restraince. There is also the potential in this logical conceptual process to recognise when the understanding and awareness is not complete and to have the patience to wait out the process, ready for future sharing. Plus ‘attraction’ is grounding us today, and here we recognise the power of revolution in action that can through potential emotional awareness expand its support. There is also an innate impressionability in play here that through recognition can transform the fence sitter into one of the committed, based in having the awareness, sensitivity and potential to embrace and transform others in the community. The notself will lack patience with the process, accepting punishment as the price for excess and be stubbornly oversensitive.

The Moon is still shifting through Gate 22 and then at 7:20pm (9:20am gmt) she will shift into Gate 36 ‘crisis’ bringing movement and focus to ‘the darkening of the light’ with the potential emotional awareness to see the sense of the rule of cycles in which decline is a natural but not enduring stage. This brings an abstract potential of recognition through reflection on feelings that leads to the possibility of change, and looking for ways for conceptualisation to manifest directly as action. This can be a destabilising energy for the unaware, and this is where the crisis can arise from. Change and changes in feeling are natural for the abstract experiential process, and the ultimate role is to be the witness who remembers and reflects, as the shift of feelings determines the ending of a cycle, nothing more, and the recognition of this can only come through awareness. If the energy overwhelms this possibility, the change then becomes either something that is dreaded or embraced, both of which fuels expectations and inevitable crisis.

At 6:33am 17^th (20:33gmt 16^th) the Moon shifts into Gate 25 ‘the spirit of the self’ bringing movement and focus to ‘innocence’, and the individual perfection of unique action through an uncontrived and spontaneous nature. This is where being centred in the now depends on the quality of innocence, and innocence is tested and empowered in the fire of competitive energy. And despite outward appearances the true competition here is whether the self can maintain its unique innocence despite circumstances. This is also the Gate of the shaman/priestess or spiritual warrior who loves all of existence without discrimination, this is where a flower can be loved as profoundly as a human, and this quality of love can be projected as cool or cold, and it is neither. The true mystical potential of this love is both transcendent and universal, and is based in the knowing that the spirit is always being tested. This is also the Gate of scars, which brings the potential of being wounded, exemplified by the warrior fool who leaps empty handed into the void, with only its innocence to carry it, with the hope that it will land on its feet. And yes the spirit can be broken, but triumph and survival enrich the spirit and result in the wonder of being.

At 3:30pm (5:30am gmt) Mercury shifts into conjunction with the Sun and Venus in Gate 4 'formulisation' bringing reviewed communication in relation to identity, values and worth to 'youthful folly' and the logical energy to beguile and succeed despite ignorance as this transit brings a freedom from retribution plus good fortune. There is also the potential to have an answer for any doubt, just be aware that the concepts and answers might only be a potential, and could be sheer foolishness instead of real understanding. It is clear that the most grounded path is based in logic, and to use logic, is to be able to recognise and substantiate things with fact, which protects from sharing misjudgement. This Gate brings a mental pressure of doubt and suspicion that can last a lifetime, and this is based in looking for some sort of logical awareness, which always requires a formula, and no matter what the answer appears to be, it is not necessarily a solution or a fact.
