Today's planetary update

Date: 13th July 2010

Time: 9:30am Aust. AEST / GMT +10hrs (note: this is Australian time, so if you are in another country check your time zones)

Today begins with the tail end of the 6th Line in Gates/hexagrams 53 and 54, and then at 3:43pm the Sun and Earth will shift into the 1st lines of Gates 62 and 61 bringing us back down to earth and the need to research and investigate things so that there is a secure foundation for the future. And ‘routine' is in the air today, which is all about the ability to logically transcend the boredom of routine through the expression of a rich and daring fantasy life, and there can even be the ability to organise the details through fantasy. Plus ‘occult knowledge' is grounding, with a natural knowing and psychic awareness that empowers the principles of universalisation. There is also mental pressure to know or solve inspirations and the mysteries through esoterics. The notself will rebel, ignoring important details and rely on secret knowledge which will lead to obscurity.

The Moon is now in conjunction with Mercury in Gate 31 ‘leading', bringing movement and focus to ‘influence' based on the logical law of friction, whether active or passive that engenders transference and thus influence. This is about verbal claims of leadership, which often do not have the energy to manifest any real influence or sharing. At 11:12am the Moon will shift into Gate 33 ‘privacy' bringing the focus onto ‘retreat', where active withdrawal can transform a weakness into a strength. And there is a need for privacy to process and reflect on abstract experiences so that they can be expressed and shared, making way for a new cycle to begin. Then at 8:16pm she will shift into Gate 7 meeting up with Mercury in Gate 31, Defining the Throat and ‘G' Centres with the Channel of the alpha, a ‘design of leadership for good or bad'. Bringing the focus onto logical expression of direction for the future, where leadership comes through being able to understand patterns and trends, and explain them to others.

At 12:46pm Neptune will continue its retrograde motion, moving into the 4th Line of Gate 30 ‘burnout' where the veils of illusion will hide the unrealistic pace that begs misfortune leading to fatigue. This is an abstract, compulsive and hyperactive transit that carries all the earmarks of burnout, but doesn't necessarily arrive at it, as a positive outcome is often assisted through sensing and analysis. And there can be highly energised feelings around that may lead to emotional collapse. The notself will expand uncontrollably until the bubble bursts.
