Today's planetary update

Sunday begins with a 4th Line theme, which I wrote about in yesterday's blog, and then at 4:33pm today the Sun and Earth will make their way into the 5th Lines of Gates/hexagrams 53 and 54 bringing an energy where practical solutions can be shared with many. And ‘assertion' is in the air, and this is about the underlying and often psychic recognition of the intrinsic values of abstract development, that even in periods of isolation has the assertiveness to maintain its direction. This is a power that garners continued support even from those who are basically opposed and there is also a pressure to recognise and share the value of development and the energy for beginnings regardless of circumstances. Plus ‘magnanimity' is in the air, bringing a natural authority and actualising spirit, and this is all about being able to be in a position of power, that creates genuine supportive and fruitful relationships with the less advantaged, as long as they are in service to the community and making no demands. The notself will be over assertive, which will only strengthen opposition.

The new Moon and total Solar Eclipse is at 5:32am on the 12th (in Sydney) in the 5th Line of Gate 53.

The Moon is now moving through Gate 52 ‘inaction' bring movement and focus to ‘keeping still mountain' and the benefit of temporary and self imposed inaction for the benefit of assessment. This is a very focused logical fuel for channelling energy into concentrating on something, and lack of focus will lead to tension. Then at 1:27pm she will shift into conjunction with the South Node in Gate 39 ‘the provocateur' bringing the focus onto ‘obstruction' and its value in empowering and provoking analysis, assessment and re-evaluation. This is quite a combative fuel, looking for individual awareness and the right spirit. And at 10:42pm the Moon will shift into conjunction with the Sun in Gate 53 ‘beginnings' bringing the focus onto ‘development' as a structured abstract progression that is both steadfast and enduring. This is a fuel for shared steadfastness and maturing through cycles, transition and change.

Mercury has now shifted into Gate 31 'leading' bringing communication in relation to ‘influence' and the logical law of friction, whether active or passive, that engenders transference and thus influence. This is all about expression and manifesting influence, and has no energy for primary action, so is purely about verbal claims of leadership.

Venus has now shifted into Gate 59 ‘sexuality' bringing values and worth in relation to ‘dispersion' and the ability to break down barriers to achieve union. This is a strong supportive and generative energy for breaking down barriers so that bonding can take place, and it can lead to intimacy, either sexually or a deeply creative and productive connection in some other area of life.
